Load any amp model, and then instantly modify its design with the simple turn of a knob or by flipping a switch on BIAS Head’s friendly front-panel. It couldn’t be easier. Twist a knob to immediately switch from an ultra-clean solid-state head to a velvety tube amp—or create hybrid versions of classic amps. Completely change the tubes’ circuit design by turning just one knob to make the amp distort smoothly or break up immediately. Twist another knob to add up to four additional tube stages for extra gain on soaring solos. Adjust the balance of power amp and preamp distortion by turning two knobs. Flip a switch to add a cabinet sim. Awesome tones ranging from glassy to overdriven—and everything in between—are yours in a heartbeat. And BIAS Head’s tone stacks for Bass, Middle, Treble and Presence change their tone with each amp model you play through, sounding like the tone stacks on the original amps.
BIAS Head lets you go as deep as you want into designing your own custom amp. In addition to the front-panel’s lickety-split controls, you can use Positive Grid’s included BIAS Amp Professional software to edit your amp’s parameters at the atomic level on your Mac, PC or iPad. Using BIAS Amp Professional’s highly intuitive interface, it’s fun and super-easy to swap out the amp’s virtual tubes, preamp, transformer, tone stacks, cab and mic using simple mouse clicks or taps. In a few minutes, you can create awesome hybrid amps nobody else owns, then transfer them back into BIAS Head for standalone use without the computer, iPad and software.
